If you have a problem connecting your Bluetooth devices or if your laptops/PC Bluetooth devices are not showing up on your Windows, then you are at the right place. In this article, I will guide you through if your Laptop/PC’s Bluetooth Devices not showing or connecting in Windows 10/8/7. This method is similar if you are operating Windows 10, 8 or 7.

Before we start there are some requirements that you should preserve. These requirements are listed below.

  • Laptop/PC with Bluetooth embedded
  • Using Windows with either 7, 8 or 10 because the method is the same for all versions.

So let’s start with the step by step guide.

Step 1: Open services from Run

To open Run dialogue box press Windows key + R key together and type in services.msc in the Open input field as shown above.

A services windows will launch, in which you can scroll down to find Bluetooth Handsfree Service and Bluetooth Support Service as highlighted above.

Step 2: Start Bluetooth services

Right click on the Bluetooth Support services, a pop-up menu appears with options, click on the Properties option (as shown above) to proceed.

A Bluetooth support services properties dialog box will pop up, as shown above, click on the Start button under Service status as highlighted above. This will startup your Bluetooth support service.

Step 3: Making startup type Automatic

After the Service status changes to Running, click on the Status type drop-down box as highlighted above.

From the drop-down list click on the Automatic option as shown above. This will make services to start up automatically whenever you restart your laptop/PC.

Step 4: Applying the changes

After selecting the Automatic option for the startup type, click on the Apply button as highlighted above. After changes are applied click on the OK button to close the dialogue box.

Now you can see that the Bluetooth Support Service is up and Running, Now you have to apply the same steps for the Bluetooth Handsfree service as highlighted above with arrows.

After you have implemented these steps, Restart your Windows for the changes to take place.

If your Bluetooth services were already up and running follow the step below:

Right click on the Bluetooth Support service, a pop-up menu will appear, click on the Restart button as shown above. Do the same for the Bluetooth Handsfree service and make sure their startup type is Automatic. Now, Restart your PC.
